Mahtab, once part of an avant-garde theater group in Tehran, moved to the US fourteen years ago after their screenwriter Arman was imprisoned during a social movement. Now back in Tehran, she finds her friends isolated and suffering. On her last night, they gather at Malihe's place and, in Morteza's absence, transform the apartment into a stage to perform a banned play.
