剧集改编自江波户哲夫的同名小说，福山雅治将扮演一个银行职员，被调任到即将废部的银行分部后，也继续努力奋斗的故事。本剧也是二人继《龙马传》9年之后的首度共演。Kataoka Hiroshi is a bank employee who is promoted to branch manager. Simulatenously he is told that his branch is about to be closed so he should not think about anything other than the short term there. His future lies at the head office. The manager has a moral dilemma. He could either be a company man or a human being.
